The brief was to design a simple, modern house that retained the warmth and familiarity of a traditional home. The design approach focused on spatial clarity, material depth, and natural light, using a restrained palette to create a calm and timeless atmosphere.

The house was planned to be fully Vastu-compliant, with careful attention to orientation and the placement of key spaces. Lime plaster walls were introduced for their softness, texture, and depth, while Kota stone flooring provided a durable and grounded base.

Large openings were positioned to bring in generous natural light and maintain a strong relationship with the outdoors. The result is a house that is modern in planning, traditional in material expression, and balanced in its response to climate and everyday living.
