The client came to us with a tight budget and a clear goal: create a calm, comfortable retirement home for her parents within a standard apartment. The existing builder layout felt inefficient and noticeably dark, especially in the spaces used every day. This apartment interior design project began with fixing the plan before adding anything new.

Instead of adding more finishes, we focused on re-planning. We removed a few key partitions to open up sightlines and pull daylight deeper into the home, prioritising the living, kitchen, dining, and pooja areas. Where privacy was still needed, we used glass blocks to borrow light without making the spaces feel exposed.

The palette stayed intentionally simple. Warm natural wood tones were paired with beige-white walls to keep the interiors minimal, soft, and easy to maintain. The combination of better light, fewer visual breaks, and warm material accents makes the apartment feel more open and larger than its actual footprint without pushing the budget.
