This farmhouse was conceived as a warm, rooted home set within a mango orchard, responding closely to its rural setting, climate, and patterns of everyday use. The client envisioned a house that felt traditional in spirit, organised around a courtyard, climate-responsive in planning, and fully aligned with Vastu principles.

The house is inward-looking, with the courtyard acting as its spatial and environmental centre, bringing in light, ventilation, and thermal relief through the day. Traditional colours and materials were used with restraint, allowing the architecture to sit quietly within the landscape.

Jaisalmer and Kota stone flooring were chosen for their durability, thermal performance, and grounded material presence. Traditional architectural elements were reinterpreted in a contemporary manner so that the house feels both familiar and current.
